@jennylynn: Yeah I know but I guess thats part of why its cheaper since it doesnt have the carry case or as many extra bottles as the medela

I think I may wind up getting this pump. It had lots of great reviews, and there's no way we can afford a $300+ pump, especially when I don't really know how breast feeding is going to go. I do wish it came with a carrying case though.

The pump itself was closed, and they gave me a new set of everything I would need that would actually come into contact with milk, like flanges, valves, tubes, etc. No cross contamination!

@Mrs. Yoyo: With the pump you rented from the hospital, was it a closed system where the milk never came in contact with the tubes or was it an open system?

@Mrsbells: Well, I would probably rent a hospital-grade one first and make sure things are going OK before making an investment in an electric. I had a manual on hand at first, but rented the Symphony for awhile. Which was great because it's gentler and more powerful, which were crucial at first.

@Mrs. Yoyo: Thanks!! I will have to decide what I want to do about a pump. I'm so undecided right now.

I have it. Honestly, I don't like it. It is super loud and the suction has always seemed a bit weak to me, and it just feels a bit cheaply made. My sister in law gave it to me (she didn't like it either. But pumps are super individual, so you could have a completely different experience. Mostly I just use a manual or a single electric now.

Has anyone used this pump?

I saw this on amazon and it has great reviews its like half the price of Medela, the only downside is it doesn't come with a carry case and all those accessories. Anyone have any experience with this pump?
