I didn't even realized that they have travel bassinets! I really could have used that when we flew when DD was 4.5 months.

What?! 25.5 inches?? That's ridiculously short, especially with a weight limit of 10 kg! I just flew BA with a lap infant and they didn't measure/weigh her but they did check her age. They give bassinets to babies younger than 6 months and a car seat to babies 6-24 months; even though LO was much too long for the bassinet, they initially wouldn't give me a car seat because she was only 5.5 months. It took a lot of persuasion before we could get the car seat, but I just don't understand how it was safer for her to be in a bassinet that had her neck bent at a funny angle.

Anyway, I wouldn't think they would check her height or weight but if she's too tall for it, it might not be very comfortable for her. :-/

To those of you that traveled with a lap infant: did they measure and weigh your LO before offering the bassinet?

DD will be 7 months when we travel and although she's not near the weight limit, she's passed the length limit ... a few months ago! :( DD isn't even tall for her age. I think my airlines just has short bassinets?!

It kind of makes no sense because the weight limit is 10 kg (22 lbs) but their length limit is only 65 cm (25.5 inches).
