That's ridiculously short, especially with a weight limit of 10 kg! I just flew BA with a lap infant and they didn't measure/weigh her but they did check her age. They give bassinets to babies younger than 6 months and a car seat to babies 6-24 months; even though LO was much too long for the bassinet, they initially wouldn't give me a car seat because she was only 5.5 months. It took a lot of persuasion before we could get the car seat, but I just don't understand how it was safer for her to be in a bassinet that had her neck bent at a funny angle.</p> <p>Anyway, I wouldn't think they would check her height or weight but if she's too tall for it, it might not be very comfortable for her. :-/ </p> https://boards.hellobee.com/topic/lap-infant-bassinet-do-they-check-babys-weightheight#post-503408 Mon, 14 Jan 2013 14:09:37 +0000 SugarplumsMom 503408@https://boards.hellobee.com/ <p>To those of you that traveled with a lap infant: did they measure and weigh your LO before offering the bassinet?</p> <p>DD will be 7 months when we travel and although she's not near the weight limit, she's passed the length limit ... a few months ago! :( DD isn't even tall for her age. I think my airlines just has short bassinets?! </p> <p>It kind of makes no sense because the weight limit is 10 kg (22 lbs) but their length limit is only 65 cm (25.5 inches). </p>
