I agree with spa day and eating up all the delicious food that's off the strip!

Do you have a car? If you get away from the strip, Vegas is awfully, awfully cheap! i have a bunch of family that lives there. But if you are on the strip, it's all tourist stuff and it is $$$

@MsLipGloss: @autumnlove: any suggestions of reasonable spa's? Some I was finding were outrageously expensive!!!

Spa Day! There are soo many lovely spas around there, and if you don't want crowds/smoke to walk through, go off-strip to one of the big resorts in the suburbs! I'm sure there are plenty of off-strip shopping options too! As for on the strip, you can go to all the different 'exhibits' like the MGM grand lion habitat, the flamingo area at the Flamingo, the pirate show at TI, etc.

So...I'm in a bit of a pickle at work!

I have a conference in Las Vegas in March, the conference is M-W, so when I booked my travel DH and I were going to spend the weekend before with another couple playing in sin city! I booked my flight to fly out Fri afternoon. Now - the other couple has had an issue causing them to back out and DH just found out he has court that Monday so its not good for him to go either. I called our work travel group and to change my ticket it will be almost $350 (change fee and fare difference) - which I definitely cant just have work pay for. I would have to cover at least $200 of that.

I just emailed my boss (bc I know he is going Saturday night) to see if he is planning to expense the hotel Saturday. If he says yes - I think I may just suck it up and go by myself. I'll be 4 months preggo then - so a nice lazy weekend relaxing/shopping/eating/laying out (weather permitting) wouldn't be terrible.

Anyone else ever have a similar situation? Any one have thoughts for how to kill a day in Vegas that doesn't include gambling or drinking? Ugh!
