I completely understand! I was weepy when I left for maternity leave!
Good luck on your move. It sounds like lots of exciting stuff is in your future!

a good job where you like the people is hard to find, so of course it's sad to leave! also, sounds like there is a lot of change coming up for you besides your job. they're all good things and exciting, of course, but changing your life and routine can be unsettling for anyone.

I've been at my current job for just over 4 years, and have really grown close to a lot of my co-workers. I think I would be very sad if I were leaving, too.

A good friend left the company two weeks ago to work with our 'sister' company and we were all super sad during her last week. Tears were shed, and she is actually still in the same building as us! We still see her a few times a day! I can imagine it is a hard time for you!

DH & I are moving closer to home, and we're psyched. We both have great jobs that we are thrilled about, we're going to be in a city that will make us a lot happier, we are getting a super cute puppy that will hopefully help with my baby fever, and we will be able to TTC relatively soon!

Still, I have absolutely loved my job for the last two years, and all my coworkers are my best, and really only, friends in this city. Today is my second to last day at work, and I am a HOT MESS. I can't stop crying.

It's an awkward situation because my replacement is here, and I have been training her this week. It's easy to forget that she is new, and this is exciting for her. I guess my antics this morning (crying at my desk, going over to friends' desks and talking with them and then crying some more) were a bit much because my manager basically asked me to try to dial it back. I know it was hard for her because she's a good friend, and it's hard for her too, but I totally understand where she's coming from.

Of course, I am so embarrassed that I had to get called out, and I can only imagine how I look to everyone. It's so unprofessional, but I can't stop. I just want to say bye now and get this all over with.

Any of you had to deal with this or am I just a total baby?
