We aren't ready to do lap infants for both, quite yet. Yup, we are aware of the oxygen mask issue. Buying a seat for one of the babies usually prevents the issue. </p> <p>@PinkElephant: We are flying a long 5-6 hr non stop flight. Most likely they'll negotiate something for you at the gate, or the purser will do it on the plane before takeoff. And actually, I suspect that if you get on the plane and try to sit holding one baby on your lap in the seat next to you, chances are that either (a) the person next to you will be a decent human being, and will swap just to help you out or (b) the person next to you will want to avoid sitting in a row with two babies at all costs, and will happily swap your DH for his middle seat elsewhere on the plane! </p> <p>I realize you might not be booked this way, and you (with the lap infant) will be the one "Looking" for the seat...but no one has to know that. :). The only possible hitch is that you need to be in a row with an extra oxygen mask b/c of the lap infant. On smaller planes, not every row has this, so if it happens that DH and the baby with the seat are in a row that only has three, the flight attendant will know and will tell you. I've gotten moved on several flights for this reason!</p> <p>How long is the flight? So you'll at least get two seats together, but maybe not three. But if you're each alone with a baby it shouldn't be bad! Not too long ago I flew alone with a 4 month old and a 3 year old and we were totally fine. They will have to shuffle something for you as car seats are not generally allowed in middle seats (blocks the window passenger in an evacuation), and as mentioned above infants cannot be alone anyway. I knew this was going to happen especially during holiday travel.)</p> <p>Crazy holiday travel with twins and I'll have to ask if anyone if they will switch seats. Yeah, people are going to hate us. :meh: Oh, I don't really care if we are in two different rows. I just don't want to be in 3 rows (currently stands). One of the twins is getting a seat. </p> <p>I'll plan on buying drinks or whatever for whoever switches with us. </p> <p>Good news is the trip back is outside of holiday travel so maybe we'll find a spare seat and not a sold out flight. </p>
