Can you just nurse the good side non stop? Be careful it doesn't get cracked too.

Also look at your local LLL. Mine had the leaders cell phone numbers posted and they called me back on a Sunday.

Ouch, I know how painful cracked nipples can be. Are you using lanolin? I found that helped alot. And putting some breastmilk on the cracked parts too.
My DD would get frustrated at milk not coming out fast enough too. I'd try to nurse her as much as I could stand to (cracked nipples are sore!). Sometimes I'd pump too when my nipples needed a break, but after a few weeks they kind of went numb. Eventually she got used to the slower flow too and wouldn't be frustrated.
Good luck mama! You'll get through this and hopefully the LC can provide some relief!

Let me start by saying I have a call into a LC but I don't think they will be getting back to me until Monday and I need advice until then.

DS is 16 days old and we have had latch issues since day one on my left side. Day three I broke down and used a nipple shield and that worked fine for the next week and a half. I started having nipple pain with the shield until day 13 and then decided to just nurse him without it. I ended up with cracked nipples which hurt so bad I would cry. I decided to nurse on the right and pump the left and bottle feed for that side to allow myself to heal. I felt pretty good after doing this for roughly 18 hours so I tried nursing again and he latched perfectly! But he started having issues again at the next few feeds and eventually by last night I was in pain again and pumped through the night. He also is now starting to get frustrated on my right side, presumably since the milk isn't flowing fast enough like the bottles he's getting. I tried to nurse again this morning and again his latch was good but he's getting more frustrated and I'm scared the bottles of pumped milk are making matters worse. I don't know if I should continue to pump and heal and hope that the LC can help with the latch issues on Monday or if I should just tough it out and try to keep nursing him and hope he gets over the frustration. Thoughts?
