@Sams Mom: thanks for posting this! I’m such a stickler about latch weight limits! I don’t even use latch because I trust the seatbelt more.

@catgirl: My seat was made in 2016, I just haven't read the sides of it in forever (or ever maybe?). I did see where the top tether stays hooked always. I wish my husbands truck had easier to reach tether anchors in the backseat, but now that there is a permanent seat in his truck I don't have to fight clipping it in everytime we move mine to his truck.

If your car seat was made after February 2014 it will have the lower anchor limit printed on the seat and in the manual. That will take into account the car's weight limit as well.

If your car seat was made prior to February 2014 you will have to look up the vehicle limit as well as the weight of your seat.

When forward facing a top tether does not have a weight limit. (That's the "t" in LATCH)

@MamaBear87: I wouldn't have if I hadn't gone down the rabbit hole after reading that. I think I might have read the manual when we got it before I had our son, but that's been 2 years ago and lots and lots of pregnancy/mom brain between there and now.

@MamaBear87: I looked it up online, because my owners manual seems to have grown legs and walked away! It is the same combined weight of 65 lbs as the manual says for the 4ever All in 1

Make sure you check your cars owners manual as well. They sometimes have a lower weight limit than what is recommended by the car seat manufacturer

I was reading the manual for my son's carseat the other day because I was looking up the weight and height requirements for each stage. I didn't realize that there was a weight limit for LATCH installation. Thankfully my son isn't to the weight limit for his Graco 4Ever All in 1 when I found this out, but I figured I would share in case someone else didn't know this.
