@Raspberry: I didn't want to be a debbie downer but it seems to be the case for me too. This current pregnancy was a late BFP for me at 14 DPO - I tend to get them at 9/10 DPO even with my CP's. Since then it's been hurdle after hurdle. I'm currently spotting brown all day since last week and had an u/s with no sac. My hcg is rising, so I go for another tomorrow just to see what the heck is going on.

@knittylady: Yep. BFN by yesterday followed by temp drop and AF today. So it seems like the pattern is holding true for me - makes sense that it's a reliable indicator for low HCG anyway.

We did skip a full cycle before TTC again. I was temping and observing CM, plus there's only one day that we were able to BD, so I'm confident of when I ovulated.

Thanks to everyone who took time to reply and send well wishes.

I don't have any advice, just commiseration. I've been pregnant 6 times and have 2 LOs. It's so hard to get excited after each loss. You'll never really have that joy until you've made it to the day where the baby is in your arms. I'm hoping this turns out ok for you, and you have a happy, healthy 9 months.

How did you confirm ovulation? It's absolutely possible that the MC changed your cycle and you ovulated later than usual.
Hoping this turns out well for you!

My first pregnancy I was in denial so I tested late but I had a miscarriage for number 2 and then with number 3 I got a late positive and I'm now 35 weeks pregnant! Prays for you! :goodluck:

Keep in mind it's very possible that your body is still adjusting following the miscarriage so you may have ovulated later than expected, so you aren't as far past ovulation and you would expect.

I've been pregnant 4 times with two of those being successful. I didn't track ovulation with my first but did with the other three. The two losses actually showed up positive sooner so I thought the last was for sure a loss as well. However, I think she was just a slow starter and she arrived healthy almost 5 months ago.

I'm not sure that there's a correlation. My 5 week old newborn sleeping on my lap right now was a late positive. I didn't track ovulation so I don't know dpo, but I was convinced I wasn't pregnant the cycle she was conceived. My cycles were always about 28 days long--with lo1, I had a bfp on cd28 (first day I tested, it prob would've been bfp earlier), but with this lo I got a bunch of bfns up until cd31 (I was only using digital tests that cycle fwiw). I also had a chemical loss in between los, and that was a squinter of a bfp at cd30. So, I think you're not out until your period comes!

I lost my first pregnancy and got a late positive. My next two successful pregnancies were early positives. So for me, I would tend to suspect a pattern in that. However, I have a friend who has always gotten late positives including with her successful twin pregnancy so I do not think it's a rule!

With my first (successful) pregnancy, I didn't get a BFP until 14dpo. I had a definite negative at 12dpo and didn't test at 13dpo.

With my mc, I don't know what dpo I got a BFP -- never got my period after getting my IUD out and wasn't taking OPKs/temping.

With my current pregnancy (26 weeks now; first cycle back after my previous mc), I got a faint BFP at 14dpo and it was definitely negative at 13dpo. I've come to the conclusion that I am either a late implanter or I just get late positives!

So, if I were you, I would not be worrying about a lack of an early BFP :goodluck:

With my successful pregnancy, I had a clear BFP at 10 dpo.

My last pregnancy, my tests kept coming up negative until my period was very late. Blood tests confirmed low HCG that wasn't doubling and I miscarried at 6 weeks.

This was our first cycle trying after that loss and I got a squinter today, again a few days past my period was due.

To be very frank, I did't feel any joy and already feel this will end in a loss again.

I guess I'm asking for other ladies' experiences to either give me some hope, or keep it in check. Thanks in advance.
