@Mrs.KMM: ahh, too bad... but another cycle of getting in touch with what your body is doing can be useful too. (Even if you'd rather just get to the BFPs already :-)

Thanks for the feedback ladies. AF just ruined my afternoon so I guess this wasn't my month and my cycle/LP was just a bit longer than normal. :(

Back to CD1 and on to next month!

@Mrs.KMM: @spaniellove: I use the phone app & temp at a range of times & get solid lines. But I also enter opk results. If you don't use secondary signs, like CM or opk's, I think it'll just give dotted crosshairs. That does not mean you aren't ovulating, FF is just using a single data type to determine O, instead of several methods which lend more evidence to the determination of O, that's all.

@spaniellove: I always take it before getting out of bed but every so often, the time is a bit off (you can see a couple open circles on my chart).

@Mrs.KMM: It just occurred to me why else it might be giving you the dotted crosshairs. Do you take your temps at a consistent time every morning, before you get out of bed? If the time is inconsistent it'll give you those open circles and FF will refuse to count those as reliable temps.

@GoGoSnoGirl: Humm ... even the months I have temped all the way through, I've never seen a solid crosshair in FF. I do it all on the phone app. Maybe that is the difference? I hope it doesn't mean that I haven't actually been O-ing all these past months.

@spaniellove: Just my temps. My temps are always wonky during my period but then post-period, they settle and are below the coverline.

@Mrs.KMM: Can I ask what you were doing to confirm O? Going by your chart I'm not sure it looks like a clear temp rise because the pre-O temps are above the dotted coverline.

@Mrs.KMM: I think FF needs 3 days+ of sustained temp rise to confirm O (you'll get a solid crosshair, then), so it's not quite clear from your chart, I don't think. As for poas, I have gotten + & - results in the week after AF was due when I got pg, but unfortunately I lost the baby to m/c at 6wks. I don't think my betas ever were very high either, looking back, so now I believe, for me, the signs were there early on that that pregnancy wasn't going to work out. Sorry I don't have better input. I know others will have better stories, though... I've read them here on HB! :goodluck:

@LindsayInNY: and @theotherstark: Here is my chart!

I do get lazy and tend to stop temping once I’ve had a few days of elevated temps to confirm my O. Then I just wait until CD1 to start temping again. So I don’t know what my temp has done since a few days post-O until now.

@Mrs.KMM: my cycles are usually 28 days, so 11 days late was crazy for me! I use opks and did not get a positive that month, so paired with the long cycles my OB thought it was anovulatory. I do not temp so I cannot help in that regard. If you have a chart the expert ladies might be more help! :silly:

This happened with LO#1. My period was late for almost a week and I kept getting BFNs. I tested almost every other day until I FINALLY got a faint BFP! Not sure why it took so long for LO#1 to let me know that he was here. :silly:

@Mrs. Microscope: I showed a very clear temperature spike right when I would have expected to O though. Can that still happen with an anovulatory cycle?

A few months ago, I had a wonky 38 day cycle (I've been averaging around 32 days). It was after a NTNP and vacation BDing cycle too, so I was a bit disappointed when AF showed a week late. Had BFNs throughout the wait.

I had a wonky 39 day cycle in july for no apparent reason. No cp, tested bfn all the way to AF. I think it was an anovulatory cycle. Best of luck!

So my DH and I started TTC in July (finally!). I’m at what should be the end of our 3rd cycle of trying. My period was supposed to come yesterday (Fertility Friend estimation) but still hasn’t shown her face so I tested this morning (FMU) with a FRER. BFN. :(

I’ve been charting since I got off of birth control (April) and have had pretty consistent cycles since then. We had good timing this month (BD 2 days before O), O’d on Day 12, and now we’re at day 27 (15 DPO). Looking at past months, I usually start AF around Day 25 (12-13 DPO).

Anyone else get BFNs after they were already late but end up being pregnant? I thought FRER were supposed to be really sensitive but if I’m not pregnant, where is AF?
