Based on the website http://www.tcoyf.com/content/FertMyths.aspx , once my periods were late, it didn't matter at all if I was worried about it, because stress affects ovulation, not the following menstruation. Interesting.

@MaryM: Thanks for pointing me at that resource!

I would highly suggest you read Taking Charge of Your Own Fertility. It's a really helpful resource.

Good afternoon Bees!

Editting to add: I am not TTC, but this seemed a good place to put this as I am now in the TTW for this month's AF, so... feel free to get it moved if you like?

After my last two periods were so odd for me, I've been online a lot (mostly here) and learning some things.
I had already started to kind of chart periods from June on, so there was that.

Now I've learned about cervical mucus and egg white cervical mucus in particular, to determine ovulation.

Last month (my 2nd weird period) it was kind of cool to see the changes, although I only noted the EWCM days- on CD 14, 15, and 16. Instead of a 28 day cycle, that one I saw some color on CD31, and got true bleeding the day after that.

This month, I've been dry the entire time- no watery, no creamy, nothing. Sex has been somewhat of an irritating experience physically. Finally I got EWCM Saturday, CD19. From nothing to a big wet slippery clear blob. Sunday was significantly less, but still kinda there, and now we're back to almost completely dry.

Basing just on CM (I don't take my temperature or anything, Mr. Frog might get weirded out by that) would I have ovulated Saturday with the largest EWCM? Or yesterday the last day I saw it?

Is it ok to assume that my period will now be late by that 4-5 days? So I can make sure Mr. Frog knows and won't get stressed out?
