Editing this to say - the pregnancy test I dipped in the tincture did in fact turn positive. A faint line, but a line no less. So I guess I wasn't pregnant!? I will be putting it away regardless - and I am going to mention it to my accupunctuist!

so I am going to ask my Dr about this, and I have a feeling no one will be able to give me a definitive answer... But at the suggestion of my acupuncturist I was taking a small amount every day from my placenta tincture from my last pregnancy. He said it had all the good hormones I needed to support a pregnancy..

So I googled false positive and placenta pills, and not much came up, but I found this..

http://www.clothdiapernation.com/vbforums/archive/index.php/t-119632.html

I may do my own version of testing this tonight to see what happens - but I can't help but wonder if that tincture did put a tiny amount of hcg in my system..

@winniebee & @catlady: thanks :bummed:

@shantuck - pretty much.. I took one more test and there was less of a line.. thanks for all your help though.. I have referred to your diet pdf like 100 times this cycle..

This sucks for so many reasons.. but also, I was trying to lengthen my LP, and was like, whoa! that b6 is really working.. now I know why it's longer.. I think I am going to move forward with progesterone suppositories after ovulation.. I just have a sinking feeling that may be the issue..

@Shantuck: I have the same thing.. The FRER is lighter than the IC...

I am going totally crazy and not testing any more, as it won't change anything..

My faint positive was on a wondfo but my FRER looked even lighter (the curved handle kind) when testing with the same urine. Maybe take another test in a couple days or so but I would try not to test every day. You'll drive yourself crazy comparing lines, etc. Just try to take it day by day. I kept reminding myself after the faint line 13 dpo that you gotta start somewhere.

What type of test are you using?

I had an invisible line on an internet cheapie at 13dpo and a blazing BFP on a FRER with the same urine.

With my two miscarriages, I got faint positives on 11 dpo. With my current pregnancy, I got a very faint positive on 13 dpo. I'm 14 weeks now. Based on tracking ovulation, I should be 15 weeks but I measured 5 days behind on the first ultrasound so they had me come in a week later to confirm a week's worth of growth. For whatever reason, this baby seems to have been a bit of a slower starter but so far things are looking better than my last two pregnancies (I have a son but I didn't track ovulation back then so I have no clue how early I was in finding out I was pregnant). Anyways, I just wanted to chime in that not finding out until 13 days doesn't always mean bad news....

@oskarsmommy: I did and it ended in a 7 week miscarriage, sorry :crying: I wasn't charting or anything though so I have no idea how many dpo I was at the time. It was our second cycle of TTC our first LO and I just remember that it was a little after I expected my period that I started getting light BFPs. Hopefully yours will go well though!

it's a little different than what you're asking, but when I had a chemical, it wasn't faint AT ALL at 12 dpo. I hear a lot of slow rise stories. Best of luck!

So I am 13DPO, and I have gotten veeery faint positive tests, and I went to my Dr this am. She is running my betas (they can't be more that 15 at this point, the tests are so faint), and I am hoping to hear some other stories of positive outcomes.. I know I am most likely having a chemical pregnancy, but I'm (once again) clinging to hope for this one to stick.. Any responses appreciated!
