@raintreebee: I hear you! We thought it was still MS for me because I have been still getting it on and off. My midwife said with no fever or other symptoms it could have been anything from MS, virus to something I ate. If it happens again she wants me to wait 24 hours then head to the hospital.

@anbanan15: Aw. Sorry you had to deal with it too. This stuff wouldn't phase me normally, but in pregnancy everything is so scary!

@raintreebee: Last Monday I had a bout of something. I couldn't keep anything down for 24 hours, including water. My midwife said if I woke up the following morning still sick she was going to put me in the hospital for fluids, but she wanted me to wait out the first 24 hours. I was 22w3d at the time.

I'm glad you are feeling better! Take it easy the next few days!

Thanks everyone! I think you were all right--the symptoms lasted only 48 hours so it must've been a bug. My temp never exceeded 99.6, and I was able to keep down liquids so I think baby should be alright.

Man, I feel for you ladies who have to deal with nausea every day.

Sounds like a bug to me! I only had 'morning sickness' in my 12th week. And I put that in quotations because I think it was probably a bug. I'm now 30 weeks prego and everything is great!

I'd also say a tummy bug. With my first LO, at 11w5d, I woke up and just started vomiting all day. I couldn't even keep sprite down. I was terrified that it was late onset MS, even though everything I read said it was highly unlikely, but sure enough, by the next day, it was gone. That was the only time throughout my entire pregnancy I ever felt nauseous, so I'm chalking it up to a bug! Hoping it's the same for you and it passes quickly!

@raintreebee: I had to go to the ER for a bout of gastro at 16 weeks. I'd just make sure you are keeping some stuff down, peeing ok and not too tachycardic. If you are vomiting everything, decreased urine output or increased heart rate, you could call your doc again.

Thanks ladies. I just don't want the virus or food poisoning to be bad enough to hurt the baby. I will keep you updated.

Sounds more like a stomach bug to me-- which is actually a little better, since it will pass in a couple of days where MS can last weeks and weeks. Bright side??

My MS lasted from about 6 weeks to 13 ish.

Hmm... If it was just nausea/vomitting, I would think it could be MS, but since you have diarrhea, it makes me think you have a stomach bug :-( I hope you get to feeling better soon.

My morning sickness began around 6 weeks. I haven't heard of it being late but also haven't heard of it at all coming paired with diarrhea. It sounds like a virus or maybe even something you ate- give it a week and then re-evaluate! Also- have you had any changes lately? New meds? Try any new foods? Lifestyle changes?

I unfortunately think you'll just have to wait to find out for sure. I hope it's not ms though! That would be late for it to start.

Has anyone had morning sickness that began later in pregnancy? I am 11 weeks 2 days with no nausea until yesterday. Yesterday I had intermittent bouts and today much worse and constant with vomiting and diarrhea (but no fever). I called my doc who told me to just stay hydrated and cool. He said it may be a virus but I'd like to think MS could be the culprit. But everything I read seems to say MS starts much earlier.
