@KatieBklyn: That's nice to hear! I do have an appointment with an RE next week so hopefully he'll say the same thing.

My son was a CD 21 egg and I think this pregnancy, which is so far so good, was a CD 31 or 32 egg. My former RE once told me there was no such thing as an over-ripe egg - that you could ovulate too early but you really couldn't ovulate "too late." No idea on the science there, but it sounds right to me based on anecdotes. :) I have my fingers crossed so hard for you!!

I've shared mine with you before but I consistently have long cycles and ovulate late. My first was a miscarriage (CD 33), then DS1 was CD 31, DS2 was CD 29, and DD was CD 27. Apparently, my cycles get a little shorter after each pregnancy. My miscarriage was due to a chromosomal abnormality, but I don't really blame late ovulation because I've had 3 healthy pregnancies since then. I kinda think that statistically, it's pretty average to have at least one loss (even though it's terrible and no one should have to go through it).

Hang in there! Hope your rainbow baby is coming soon

@mrskansas: I don't have much experience, but I don't think late ovulation affects the risk at all of having an ectopic. That sounds like just a rotten coincidence. I have my fingers crossed that this is your month  :goodluck:

I'm also a late ovulator, my 1st was a happy accident because I was tracking my ovulation with an app and of course, the app was wrong. My due date bumped up 10 days once I had my ultrasound from my "period" due date. I was 33. We actually had a hard time getting pregnant with my second because we couldn't figure out when i was ovulating. Finally got pregnant and once again, actual due date was ~10 days later than period due date. Ultrasound technician was kinda mean about it, and i think would have given me quite a scare had i not had this happen to me before. I'm 35, will be 36 when #2 is born.

I have long irregular cycles - DS1 was from a month where ovulation happened between days 38-40, and DS2 was from a confirmed day 36 ovulation. :) Long cycles suck when you're TTC, but there's definitely still hope!

I have PCOS and I would say both my kids were conceived around days 25-30. I experienced one early miscarriage before my 2 healthy pregnancies. Second baby is still on the inside but my 3 year doesn't seem like a bad egg, he's healthy, strong, smart and quite handsome.

No doctor has ever expressed concern about my long cycles after I was already pregnant- They just adjust my due date when I explain it.

@Revel: Thank you so much for replying! My daughter was conceived from a CD 23 egg but CD 33 seems so much later. I will try not to worry too much!

I am a late ovulator! My 3.5 year old DD is from a post CD 30 ovulation (maybe day 32?) and I'm currently 12 weeks pregnant with a CD 24 egg.

I've read a bit about it and there doesn't seem to be a lot of good info on what it actually means. For me late ovulation was just my norm - I don't fit classic PCOS although my RE said I might be "on the spectrum " for it, whatever that means.

I have seen the poor egg/bad lining info but I just don't think there's any way to know if that's why you ovulated late or if it's just that it took your hormones a while to surge this month. Good luck to you!

Has anyone had a successful pregnancy after ovulating late? And I'm talking cycle day 30+.

I just ovulated on cycle day 33. It was my second cycle post MC. I think I'm a little gun shy because when I ovulated on cycle day 30 I had an ectopic. The following cycle I ovulated within a "normal" time frame and had a MC.
I need to stay off Google but everything I see says things like "bad lining!" and "old egg!".
