@BrentLee88: That is frustrating! Before I got pregnant with my daughter I was off of bc for over a year and my cycles were weird too. There were a couple times I guess I just skipped a period altogether, or had about a sixty day cycle. I thought we would have fertility challenges, but right before I got pregnant I had 3 cycles that were all I think 30 days, and then I got pregnant. I still can't explain any of it but I hope this is the outcome for anyone else in that situation. :)

@BrentLee88: How frustrating!! My cycle was late last month and my acupuncturist swears up and down that she thinks it was because of the moon cycle. LOL. Who knows. My husband says it is truly ridiculous...Haha. I'm open to a lot of things I don't understand.

@googly-eyes: i have tracked about 4 times that they have either started on the 1st to the 6th or the 18 to the 24th. i will keep testing just to make sure i know whats going on :) we could have conceived on an ovulation day when i didn't know i was. we haven't tried in a while so that's why i was freaking out wondering why my period is this late, never been this late before even when they are irregular so its confusing :/ just hope its nothing major

@LindsayInNY: Thanks! i am glad to be back as well, sometimes i do chart but we had just bought a house so i really couldn't get on my ovulation charting calender much because we didn't have internet for awhile. , i have been writing down all my periods though and keeping track of those as for ovulation its always been confusing because my irregular periods, my doctor has told me once its usually at the beginning of every month but not sure if it is the same with irregular periods :/ . I was thinking my cycles would regulate with my meds as well because i have been on them since last march, so i am pretty sure i need to get more tests done see if anything else is going on. sometimes my periods with go from the 1st to the 6th at the beginning of the month and if not the beginning the 18-24th its very strange.

I would definitely talk to your doctor--your cycles sound highly irregular, and although I doubt you're pregnant, you should do a HPT once a week like @pui: suggested.

How many cycles have you tracked where your period was on the 5th or 18th? That's a big difference, especially since not all months have the same amount of days, and I'd probably chalk it up to coincidence that the periods fell on those days, and still consider your cycles to be pretty much irregular. Some women don't test positive til very late and some don't at all. I would guess that you aren't pregnant, or at least not very far long (you could have ovulated, say, a week ago and be the equivalent of theee weeks pregnant) but keep testing once a week or so until you know for sure. And definitely keep going to your ob so you can get treated and get pregnant (if you don't in the meantime.)

Good luck with everything!

Welcome back!! What concerns me is the two week difference - you said AF comes either the 5th or the 18th. That's a big difference. Aside from OPKs, do you track your CM at all to help figure out when you O? I would think your cycles would have regulated with the thyroid medication so the fact that they haven't could indicate something else is up.

@BrentLee88: I hope you don't have PCOS either, but just to comfort you it's not a death sentence! I was diagnosed with PCOS 4 months ago and I am now 14 weeks pregnant! If you do have an underlying problem, it's best you find it so that you can be treated properly. I definitely think you should talk to your doctor about getting to the root of this problem!

@pui: good to hear from you as well! its been a awhile since i have used OPKs just because we have stopped trying for awhile until i got my vitamin D levels up. I haven't had any other testing down i should though usually my cycles are like 3 weeks apart though so i have honestly never been this late before. yeah i was thinking it may be something else as well i just hope its nothing major like pcos or something. I am going to talk to my doctor about it and see if she can run some more tests. if it isn't pregnancy then it has to be something else causing it.

Good to see you! :)

I'm assuming you haven't charted/used OPKs this cycle, right? Unfortunately that makes it hard to figure out when/if you O'd! I'd suggest you continue to test with an HPT once a week until you get AF or a BFP.

Have you had any other testing done to see why your cycles are so long? Since you have such irregular periods and your thyroid has been being managed for a while now, I'm concerned something else may be going on with your cycles. When you see your doctor next I would bring it up with them.

my cycles are sometimes irregular due to my thyroid problem but since i have been on my meds they usually i will start on the 5th or 18th of every month so far this month i have not had a period at all, i have been having period cramps but no period. my last period was on January 16th. I took a pregnancy test Saturday on the 22nd and it was negative could it still be too early to test? or could it be something other then pregnancy??i tell you the female body is confusing!!! i have a doctor appointment Monday next week for thyroid test if i don't start by then i was going to tell the doctor.
