i am 39 weeks, my little guy was head down at 27 weeks but had flipped breech as of 35. i was the same way, really wanted to avoid a c-section, so i tried a lot of the techniques on the spinning babies website and even went and did moxibustion at an acupuncturist. but at 36 weeks he had flipped back around and he's stayed that way since (fingers crossed)! i have to say that all the techniques i tried where i flipped myself upside down or put an ice pack on the top of my belly felt very uncomfortable for me and seemed uncomfortable for baby too, so i only did most of them once or twice--the only one i really liked doing was the moxibustion. i wasn't able to tell for sure if anything i did made a difference vs. movements my relatively active baby would have made anyway, but in retrospect i probably would have stuck to doing cat/cow stretches and maintaining good posture (and reminding myself not to cross my legs at work!), etc., rather than flipping myself upside down. at 33 weeks still plenty of time for baby to flip, good luck!

Sounds like my baby! She turned around throughout the whole pregnancy, including transverse. Head down at 37, flipped breech again at 38 weeks. She stayed that way.

Once he's head down spend as much time as you can in a squat. I would squat when playing with LO, squat every time I needed to pick something up, etc. It helps open up the pelvis and encourage baby to drop and engage and stay put! And I don't mean squat like doing squats at the gym, I mean squat like a frog...or like a toddler trying to be stealthy about pooping :silly:

Have you checked out SpinningBabies.com? I'm not sure you can stop baby flipping at this point in the game but you can certainly encourage baby to stay cephalic by maintaining good posture and sitting correctly. I did lots of crawling and sitting on my Swiss ball to help get my guy into a good position!

Has this happened to anyone else? I have a 20 month old and am 33 weeks pregnant. Held was transverse for a long time, and flipped head-down on time for my 32 week checkup. Since then he continues to flip! I can tell because of where he kicks and where I feel his hiccups. Currently he is head-down again, but I'm worried that he isn't staying that way.

If you had a fickle baby did they eventually stay head-down? At how many weeks? Did you do anything to encourage that position?
