I wouldn't. We had the same problem through molars and canines, but after the months it took to get them in, his normal sleep returned!

My boys are 15 months and go to bed normally between 7-7:30 p.m. and typically wake up around 6 a.m. They nap 12-2 at daycare, sometimes longer than that at home on the weekends.

The past few weeks, we've had random 5 a.m. wakeups (yay, ugh), even when they go to bed later or earlier. I've also found that their bedtime does not, unfortunately, affect their wakeup time.

@NovBaby1112: he takes 1 nap at daycare (12:30-2:30ish)...i will just chalk it up to molars affecting his wakeup time

Is he on 1 nap or 2? I know molars affected LO's sleep, so that could be it. a later bedtime for us usually means an earlier wakeup actually.

in our experience (ds is 17 months), his bedtime usually has no affect on his wake up time. just last night he fell asleep an hour earlier than usual and still woke up at 8am. we've been having him go to bed 30 min or so later than usual some days due to activities/etc and he still wakes up at the same time.

for the last couple of weeks, my 16month old has been getting up an hour earlier than usual (he goes to bed between 7-7:30pm and waking up anywhere between 5:30-6am and ready to start his day!)...

should we gradually push his bedtime back (hoping he'll get up a little bit later)? his molars are slowly starting to come in so i'm wondering if that has been affecting his sleep?
