Absolutely yes! DS has been on a 7:30 bedtime for quite some time. This week he started waking at 4am and I could get him to lay quietly for an hour but not sleep. Then we did a 7 bedtime and he slept until almost 6am! Then we went back to his regular bedtime and up early again. So tonight I put him to bed early again.

I really don't want to have to go to a 7pm bedtime though since we all don't get home until 5.

It really depends On the night. Sleep is such a crapshoot. Dd1 has been 830-900 for SO long and waking at 5-6am. But lately she has needed more of a 8:00 bedtime and is pretty cranky if she wakes at 6am.

DD2 wants a 7pm bedtime when it used to be 730pm.

LO was being a monster tonight, I assumed she was tired and couldn't deal anymore so I put her to bed an hour earlier than normal. She came out of her room once, which isn't bad compared to some nights. She will sometimes play in her bed for a good hour before falling asleep. It's been less than 30 minutes and I don't hear her at all (she is usually chatting, singing, etc) so I'm wondering if maybe adjusting her bedtime from here on out is necessary. Maybe we have been putting her down too late and it's been causing her to be overly tired? OR maybe this is just a fluke and I won't get that lucky next time!

Do you find when you put your LO down later it is harder for them to fall asleep?
