Just for fun I taught my son the "Marco, Polo" game but now if I'm really looking for him (same hiding thing) and I say Marco he will always respond polo, makes it so easy to find him. He will do the same at home or public. I never meant it to be for that I'm so so glad that little game has helped me. Might be something new and fun to tech her and because it's a game she won't realize it's actually tattling on her hiding spot.

That would freak me out!! I can't remember what the latest scare was, but it usually involves a head injury before bedtime and then I'm paranoid all night about a concussion.

@Raindrop: hahah must be a developmental thing. It's only in the last few weeks that she's learned to not tell us she's hiding. In the past she'll be hiding behind the curtain. Mommy!!! I hiding!!! Come find me! And giggling the whole time. Lol

Ugh, scary! A couple weekends ago, D was playing in his little pool out back. I don't know what happened exactly, and Hubs and I were standing right there, but suddenly he was on his back underwater. I pulled him out immediately and he was screaming crying. Obviously he was fine but so utterly terrified. Thank goodness we were standing right there.

Oh scary!! Our 3.5 year old did something very similar last night! Such a weird coincidence, last night I was reading in bed and LO climbed in our bed and started getting in the covers with me but covered his head while he did it. I asked him what he was doing. He said he was hiding from baba (dad). I laughed and told my husband that Lo was hiding from him (he was in the bathroom brushing his teeth). LO normally tells us when he’s playing hide and seek and this was the first time he didn’t tell us! Weird. :) I wonder if all 3.5 year olds do this?!

Sorry no real parenting scares recently.

That's so scary!

DD sleeps on our end, but she's in her merlin sleep suit so if she wakes it's not like she can just immediately roll off that we don't have time to go upstairs. But one time The monitor fell and I thought she whacked it and she fell and sent DH runnnnnning upstairs and she was just laying there!

Gah! That definitely would have put me in panic mode! I'm so glad she was just playing.

Not really a scare, but both of my LOs are sick today and I just feel kind of helpless. I'm a terrible nurse. I think it's a tummy bug so we can really only just wait it out. I also hope we don't get sick too!

My 3.5 year old has gotten good at playing hide and seek.
Last night on the way to bed DH went in to check on her because he had left her door ajar. He came out and said "she's not in there". I was in disbelief and went to look myself. We checked under her bed, in her closet. We checked all the bedrooms and closets. We even checked in baby sisters room. I even checked the bath tub! No where to be found. Cue panic.
I run downstairs and she was hiding under the blanket on the love seat in the living room. Her response "I hiding, mommy!" I had to explain to her that she can't play hide and seek without telling us first!!! And to never ever hide outside of the house. Ug. Hide and seek. Yippee.
