It feels like a shot gun (I've never fired a gun) but if you pull on the lever, the weed flies out, so it's kind of the same motion, if that makes any sense.</p> <p>Oooh and the whole root comes out! No bending over! It's great! The only downside is it leaves big holes. DH calls it my hole maker. It looked horrible when we moved in 18 months ago, all patchy and full of weeds. I don't allow our dog to walk on the grass in our front or backyard anymore, and when I looked at stuff they left on our door and saw promotional materials for Roundup and Miracle-Gro, that was just it for me. </p> <p>Does anyone use an organic lawn care service or methods and get good results? </p>
