He grew fast and is HUGE at 3 months though.. Gymboree 0-3m and 3-6 even have those fold over sleeves which I find really helpful. And they have some bright stuff but we have also had luck finding some toned down colors as well. Our son definitely goes through multiple outfits because he's a spitty baby, daughter wasn't so much. It's easier because you can get to the diaper without dealing with snaps or zippers. With some swaddles, you can access the bottom half of baby without undoing the area by their arms. But if you have to unzip a sleeper, you have to get the kid completely out of the swaddle to change a diaper. And who wants to mess with lining up snaps in the MOTN? They make MOTN changing a so much easier. Once he outgrew those, we switched to onesies or sleepers depending on how warm it was under the swaddle. We did that until some time in month 4 when he started rolling over back to front. Like others, we didn't like the sleep gowns at all, but some people love them. It'll just depend on her! :) I only recall changing her outfit if she occasionally peed when I was changing her diaper. :) I probably did laundry every 3 days just because I didn't have a ton of clothes and wanted to stay on top of things.</p> <p>I wouldn't do any long-sleeves for summer time, but that's just me. My daughter was born in June. We kept our house cool but it just seemed like overkill since it was 90 degrees outside! I had a few sleepers/gowns she never wore since she was swaddled for sleep. I just wanted to add that I had an average to long baby but he didn't wear newborn much because it rubbed on his umbilical cord and made it bleed. By the time it healed he was almost done with nb. Also sizes differ by brand BRU (kooala I think) and Gerber run small. Carters was true to size for us. So a safe bet could be a smaller sized 0-3. If you're in ac sleepers should be fine. I had barely anything in newborn sizes and while I was in such a postpartum haze, looking back I really wish I had some prettier things to put her in.</p> <p>Next time I'll do lots of sweet footed sleepers, with zippers or magnet closures. Who wants to mess with socks on a newborn?
