I forgot about the app called Sworkit. That's a good one, you can choose which part of the body you want to focus on, and then you can choose the length of the workout, from 5 minutes to an hour, and it rotates through exercises in 30-second intervals. It includes things like squats, lunges, jumping jacks, push-ups, different variations of crunches, etc. Good when you're short on time!

I'm just like you - I watch my diet so I only need really light exercise to stay in shape/toned. My favorites are going on walks and cleaning the house. They are free and can be really productive! I also have done several trial memberships to various yoga studios around me and yoga is an awesome way to tone up. It's also good for lazy people like me because the class forces you to do a complete workout meanwhile if I were to do the DVD at home I would totally slack.

If you want to get into jogging. i joined a local running group through meetup. I find that it's easier for me to force myself to go for a run when there's a social aspect to it. In between runs, I'll do one of those core/body toning workouts that only take up 15 minutes a day. There's a lot on the web. I've been doing a lot of the HIIT workouts.

Amen! Me too :)

I really like the Workout Trainer app on my phone! They have different length routines, so I start out with a 5-7 minute routine when I'm not feeling motivated (most of the time!). It is a free app for Android at least, but they have a more extensive Pro version too.

@regberadaisy: It's basically a pilates instructor that does vlogs of different workouts and you follow along. She has them compiled by body part focus and they're pretty short, anywhere from 3 to 25 minutes, so you can just do one, or string a few together. A lot of it is mat work, but she does have some workouts with free weights.

2. If you're on Instagram, there are wonderful accounts that post daily workouts, healthy meals, etc. to all do at home. Here are some usernames: workouts_to_go, workoutsandtips, workouts_daily, etc.
3. I also run on the tracks at a local high school, or up and down the stadium stairs for something a little more intense.
4. Jump roping.... best form of cardio ever invented, and it's totally free!

@regberadaisy: So does my DH, I hate it. Ugh. I mean, I always feel better after a workout but man I'd rather sit on the couch and do nada! lol!

I found Couch to 5k is pretty easy to do, I have an app on my phone that just tells me when to run and when to walk. I'm only out of the house for like 20-30 minutes and it's after she goes to bed. If you're planning to wean off the boob maybe that's a good opportunity for you to get out of the house so she can't smell you and your DH can handle night time for a while?

But you bring up a good point. Maybe after LO goes to bed I should go for a jog on nights he's home. He'll just have to figure out how to get her back to sleep if she wakes up. We need to start boob weaning at bedtime any way.

High Five for being lazy and not wanting to exercise! lol! I just have to force myself outside to run or go to the gym. I find if I want a super quick workout, climbing the stairmill for 25-30 minutes gets it done. Most often DH is literally shoving me out the door running shoes in hand! lol! I keep hoping I'll get addicted....... hasn't happened yet.

There are some nice 15 minute full body work outs on womenshealth.com. I think they even have an entire book of them, I just get the free ones. I'm not a fan of sweating and the one work out I did got me nice lean arms and legs.

If you like cardio, I thought that Hip Hop Abs was really fun. The workouts are only about 30 mins long and it is fun to dance around and look like an idiot. I also found I was more likely to work out if I didn't have to leave my house.

So. I'm lazy. I have a good metabolism and genetics to thank otherwise I would be pretty heavy, I think!

DH really wants me to exercise for my health.

Got any good recommendations for someone who just wants a bit of light exercise to be toned & healthy? I've done Yoga & Pilates in the past.....and do go out on walks on the weekend with LO when schedule allows.

ETA: Free preferred! I can't trust my dedication enough to spend moola on it. ;)
