<description>&#60;p&#62;I really wouldn't worry. I did loads of paint stripping while we were TTC in my 1930s house. Once you are officially pregnant, I'd stop but honestly I'm sure it takes more than a one off exposure to cause any harm.

<description>&#60;p&#62;There are kits you can buy at the hardware store -- they look like lipstick tubes -- that test for lead exposure. You rub them on the wall/paint and it tells you if there is lead.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;I'd buy one of those if you're concerned!

<description>&#60;p&#62;We are currently undergoing a bathroom renovation in our older home (1950's). We have contractors doing most of it, but I was doing some scraping/sanding and then realized that I might be dealing with lead based paint. I worked on the project for a few hours and now I'm panicking that I might have put myself or our future baby at risk. I don't think I am pregnant right now, but we are ttc. Does anyone have any experience with this? Should I get a blood test for exposure or am I overreacting?
