In the car she'll get our phones and she can watch the PBS kids app or Netflix Kids. For road trips I bring our iPad (wifi only) and preload a few videos for her. I'm not a fan tbh. The battery life is crappy, it's touch screen with a stylus, the games you have to purchase are pretty pricey. It came with one or two free games.</p> <p>We have a iPad mini that my mom got us and the whole family uses it. My understanding (and I could have this all wrong) is that the Leap Pad would be better for apps while the Fire would be better for videos. I know the Fire has the Free Time access to games and videos, but I'm guessing you have to be on wifi to get that benefit.
