I've got to try him again with the books now that he's starting reading. There are one you buy books for (tag reader?) and ones you buy cartridge and you can also buy apps. In my experience the new cartridges and books are al pretty pricey and they only work with the leap frog. Honestly, it never gets used. You have to buy apps and they're pretty expensive. I think it came with 2 free downloads?
