DD has a Leapfrog Explorer she occasionally plays (once a week or less) and we take it on long car rides for exactly this purpose. Thinking about getting one for our son for his 3rd birthday, to entertain him on our Christmas plane trip and hopefully help reinforce some of the things he's started learning at school. I feel kind of weird about so much technology at this age but I don't know why it seems like it might be a good idea!? </p>
