My dad had me on the slopes in a carrier when I was 15 months old, and skiing is just something I've always done. It helps that I grew up in a ski town in Utah about 5 minutes from 3 different ski areas. I'd like to have any kids do the same. It obviously greatly depends on where we'll be living, but at the very least we'll visit my family each year in the wintertime. </p> <p>I'd rather they start (and stay, lol) on skis. It's so much easier to learn when you're young and fearless and low to the ground. And she's a total daredevil so I think she'll love it. I started too late and as a result, I can't confidently ski and now, I can't learn because I am too afraid of falling!</p> <p>My son has Alpine blood, but he's never been skiing because it's remarkably difficult to access, even in the Alps...it involves a long commute to the slopes and then a gondola ride to the mountains!
