@Zbug: Haha I know the feeling, I've never been so physically tired as I have since LO became mobile!

My LO is a lot younger, so not walking, but he is learning to pull to stand and cruise a little, and his sleep has gone down the drain. He's so wired and obsessed with standing when he's awake, and I am so hoping that this is a temporary sleep thing from learning a new skill.

His sleep also went to crap when he learned to roll over, but that coincided with the four month regression, so I'm not sure exactly what I'm dealing with now.

Anyway, so tired and can totally relate!

@Zbug: haha that's the worst - when sleep already sucks and something makes it worse :( hope she gets back to being a mediocre sleeper ASAP ;)

@avivoca: ugh it's the worst. No long bsby parties for us, but there were still several wakeups. Coffee is my best friend.

@Bubbles: we have been going to multiple parks a day. Not sure how she's not exhausted! I certainly am.

@Pirouette: nice pun :). Yeah she's not a good sleeper regardless, but she's been taking it to new extremes lately.

Crawling was really bad for sleep for us, and then learning to cruise was also really bad. For some reason walking unassisted did not cause the same disruption, but I think it does for a lot of babies! That said, her sleep isn't good to begin with and she had some really bad teething nights while learning to walk, i just didn't notice the same pattern where she's up in the middle of the night practicing for hours like she did with crawling and cruising. but she was way more excited about crawling and cruising because it was the beginning of mobility. walking was just a natural next step for her (pun intended?)

@PurplePeony: aww! yay for walking! :) our babies aren't babies anymore!

Not walking yet but we definitely had a crawling one, about 2 weeks of waking up motn on all fours! Completely back to normal once he had mastered it. I also would try and make sure he was really physically tired during the day.

@Zbug: So, I just wanted to commiserate with you because H was up for an hour and a half this morning. I changed her because nothing was working, but she was just wide awake and alternating between screaming and talking. I hope our girls start sleeping soon!

Thsnks, ladies. I'm actually hoping it's walking related. If it's not, I have no clue what's going on!

Hard to know. T had some night wakings in the week before he took off walking (and he typically did not wake then) but hard to say if that was why.

Yeah it was really bad for us for about a month when she started walking. It's actally what motivated me to finally sleep train.

Yup. With every big skill she has some rough nights of sleep. It only lasts a couple of nights usually, but it's hard. And it's like they are ALWAYS teething on top of the skills. Hope she's settles down soon.

We are dealing with the same thing! LO (11 months) just learned to "walk" with assistance yesterday and I think it blew her little mind. Last night was rough. I'm a tired mama.

Okay, mamas, I need to see if I'm alone here. DD (13 mo) is getting close to walking. She wants to practice all the time and has taken a few unassisted steps. Exciting but sleep has hit a new low!! She's never been a great sleeper, but I can usually nurse her, put her back on her floor bed, and then she rolls over and goes back to sleep. Now she rolls over, I think she's asleep but fifteen minutes later she's tossing and turning. Eventually, she starts crying. It's like she is trying to go back to sleep but then gets upset and worked up bc it's taking so long. I think she's also working on some teeth, but she doesn't seem to be in pain and ibuprofen made no difference. Night time is the worst, but I'm currently holding her for her nap, which I haven't done since she was a newborn! The only thing I can think of is this being walking related. Anyone deal with a walking sleep regression??
