@regberadaisy: No no, our vacation is 4 weeks from now ;-) It's still going to be 4 nights away from the girls, so I'll be doing something similar to what Adira said.

@regberadaisy: When my mom last watched LO I included instructions for using the TV/remote, common tantrum triggers, and behaviors that typically trigger time outs. Have fun!

Sounds like you've got everything covered and your BIL can likely figure out the rest, esp considering he has girls of his own :)

Enjoy yourself!!

The car seats is a big concern to me. I'd rather leave them car so the seats aren't moved. Not everyone knows how to install them properly.

@sungirl: yup! BIL has two girls of his own. They're in boosters now but our car seats are super easy to install.

@Adira: LOL they're over at our house all the time so they know where everything is.

Do they know how to install the car seats? Might need a lesson that if they don't.

When I left Xander overnight with my parents, I left ridiculously long instructions and information. I included the address/number of where we'd be, our cells, times for food and what to give, tips for bedtime, specific routines, any medication, pediatrician info, ER info, full-name, birthday, allergies of Xander in case they had to go to the ER, and then a list of where everything was located in the house. I also put up sticky-notes everywhere so they could find everything.

ETA: And our wifi information!

...for the first time!

DH and I are getting a hotel room (locally) and leaving our girls overnight for the first time! It's our 5 year wedding anniversary. I'm really excited but also a tad nervous.

BIL and his gf will be picking the girls up from daycare tomorrow. We'll be leaving their car seats at daycare after dropping them off. They'll be staying at our house and we'll be back late Saturday afternoon.
They're stopping by tonight for a bit so I can give them instructions, talk about the girls schedules and such. My 3 year old is easy. The baby is 11m and I'll be leaving bottles labeled for when to give to her. Her bedtime routine , god help them. :silly: And foods we haven't tried yet. pediatrician and pediatric urgent care information; just in case.

Anything else that might be helpful for them?
