All mine!! But, if asked I would never say no. In your case I'd pretend it was a communal office fridge and put your name on the box :)

We were out with a couple once and the girl ate half her food and the rest was sitting there, the guy asked if he could try it, and she said no, it was for her lunch tomorrow. I thought that was pretty rude!

I agree with you. Anything made at home is ours to share and anything we boxed up from a dinner out is considered ours and isn't to share.

Unless it's a burrito. Then that shit is fair game and it's every man for himself.

I always ask if there are leftovers in the fridge that my husband brought home from lunch or something. He asks if the situation is reversed. I wouldn't totally freak out if he ate my food, but if I had been planning to eat it, I'd be annoyed.

I agree with you, but I'm so used to the DH being the human garbage disposal that if it's something that he will eat, he will ask me if I'm going to eat it. I would be pissed if he ate it without asking me.

Our nanny ate a piece of cake I was saving. Didn't even ask me. I swear I opened and closed the fridge door like 3 times, thinking it would re-appear and I was missing it. So sad.

In our house, leftovers are leftovers for everyone, unless it's leftovers I brought from an individual meal, OR A PIECE OF CAKE!

@sunny: Oooo we don't really do cook at home individual plates... but that's an interesting point! :) Even when we have steak dinners we cook it and put in a shared plate and people pick their steaks. If they are too big (usually I do this) I cut half the steak and leave the other half on the shared plate. :)

My dad is just like your DH. Growing up, I had to get really creative on how I would hide my leftovers b/c he would eat everything!

I don't usually have to worry about DH b/c he didn't really grow up with leftovers and most of my stuff is covered in cheese. He's strange and just doesn't like cheese. More for me! Except I get mad at him when he doesn't eat his leftovers and we have to throw them out. So wasteful!
