@Goldengirl: How far along are you? I went through a phase in the early third trimester when I had leg cramps really badly. Same thing happened with my last pregnancy. but now I'm 37 weeks and they seem to have gone away

Oof yes I did last pregnancy. It was only at night time, often when I was asleep. I don't really remember anything helping except DH trying to massage my calves and get them to unlock.

@raspberries: Thanks :( I do try to sleep on my left side but eventually my hip/leg starts to hurt and I need to move on to my back for a bit (same when I'm on my right side)... no matter what position, there's a problem! I don't drive very often but I'm getting nervous that it's going to happen if I do drive which would be really scary... it seems to mostly always happen when I'm lying down though.

I got these all the time with my last pregnancy, and they're just starting again this time around. The only things that helped were drinking lots of water and stretching/foam-rolling before bed. If you're not already, you can try sleeping on your left side to help with circulation, but unfortunately, it was something that just had to be suffered through. You have my commiseration though!

I've been dealing with awful leg cramps for the past several weeks that keep getting worse and am starting to lose my mind! When I lie down especially at night I feel them start to cramp, and every once in awhile I get a full out kind of spasm where it KILLS and takes a long time for me to stretch it out. Definitely has been my least favorite side effect so far!

Did anyone else deal with bad leg cramps in pregnancy and how did you cope? I stay hydrated, eat bananas... not sure what else I can be doing. Any advice or tips that worked for you?
