Before getting pg, I thought it wouldn't bother me because I'd be there at least 8 or 9 months before having the baby. Now, I'm TERRIFIED to tell my boss. It would have been easier to tell him if I had been here a few months so I knew him really well and he knew me and my work-product. In the end, he's super nice, and it will probably be fine, but it has caused a ton of stress during my first trimester, which is not fun! From my experience, I would recommend that you don't start TTC until you've been at a job for a month or two. If it takes a while to get pregnant waiting a couple months to start TTC won't be a big issue; but, if you get pregnant right away (month 2 for me), you'll be glad you had those extra couple months to build a rapport with your new boss.</p> <p>I totally get the frustration of having to wait for what seems like forever, though. And I replied, just something I've been thinking about. I thought he'd be freaked out, but he immediately replied- Might as well forget about going on a cruise in August then b/c you'd be 8 1/2 months pregnant if we're successful. EEp! We talked about waiting a year after marriage, and got married in March. I've graduated law school, taken the bar (I hope I passed) and I'm applying for jobs now. I wanted to wait to get a job, then work for a year to hopefully get some mat leave, but then it's like who knows how long it'll be before I find a job! Hubby has a great job, and benefits kick in in two weeks. Just wanted to share. Any ideas? Thoughts? Anyone try to make a holiday baby? </p>
