The baby moving has started to weird DH out so sexy times have become less frequent. I'm a sad koala.

@abbylyn: @evansjamie: the weird thing is, if I initiate, he's totally into it! so I don't know if it's worry about the baby as much as trying not to push me if I'm not feeling well...but if I initiate all the time, it makes me self conscious, plus there's usually less foreplay

@nana87: My husband was the same way. Once he knew 'who' was in the belly, he just did not initiate and wasn't interested. It was just weird to him knowing that his daughter was right there and he wasn't comfortable with it. So...it's been awhile.

@nana87: my DH was like this too. He was freaked out about hurting the baby, even after my repeated reassurances and hearing the doctor say it. He was also trying to not make me feel bad, in case I wasn't in the mood.

@Rainbow Sprinkles: Foreplay is awesome! I think my raging hormones help me in that fact. I get a lot more revved up than before pre preg. But when the action starts it gets awkward and painful and feels like a lot of work to get the job done!

I'm more similar to @abbylyn: I think... We have healthy conversations about whether our needs are being met (not just during pregnancy) so we've just chosen to accept that it's a quieter spell for us.

With my first pregnancy we did it aaaaallll the time. I was also having a boy.

This time around I'm having a girl and we barely do it. Not sure if it is due to a difference in hormones, or if I'm extra tired from caring for a toddler, but that has definitely been the biggest difference between my two pregnancies.

I am sorry, I think it is different for everyone!

I have no advice, but DH and I have a LOT of sex when I'm pregnant. Like at least three times a week, and I'm 35 weeks!

We stick to missionary, sometimes with a pillow under my butt. We don't switch it up a lot since I can't move much, but it's still awesome. And LOTS and LOTS of foreplay. Maybe ask your DH to get you really revved up with sensual foreplay?

@Danizaur: I'm sort of the opposite. I'm ready to party, but the belly is sort of freaking out DH. And, like you, most of our favorites are out due to discomfort or awkwardness, and "sweet and tender" isn't generally going to go the distance. No bueno! So not much for advice here, sorry. :-(

I've noticed that dh will. not. initiate. Seriously, since bfp he's initiated once. I'm usually most nauseous at night, so maybe he's just trying not to be insensitive, but still, it doesn't help me feel very wanted!

Ha! No magic sex drive for me either. Although, I never had a high drive to begin with...

We did it about once a week and it was always a little more gentle/awkward than normal.

@abbylyn: I'm definitely much more ready to go in the mornings. Always have been. DH wakes up at the crack of dawn and gets up on the weekends onthe only days we can sleep in together. I tell him he's missing a good opportunity but he doesn't want to wait on me to wake up!

I was too tired most times. I had the most energy in the mornings, and DH isn't a fan of morning sex. We only had sex a handful of times throughout the whole pregnancy. I was looking forward to crazy pregnant sex drive!

Pregnancy sex is awesome sex. My husband keeps saying he can't wait until I'm knocked up again bc we do it all the time.

You can wall me if you want. It took us awhile to find the right position once my belly got in the way. I'm an open person but not enough to tell it publicly! LOL

I've had no drive whatsoever. Poor DH. We get it on maaaybe once every week and a half to two weeks. It's just really hard to find good positions -- both from a belly-in-the-way standpoint and an "umm, that's just not working for me" standpoint. If it's one, it's not the other IYKWIM. He's been really good about it, but I know it's hard on him, and he's really worried a about what the state of things postpartum will be...I think he's mentally preparing himself for like a year of chastity.

@JessKas: I waited til the end and demanded labor inducing sex too! Lol
Then it was just ... awkward. I was so huge and could barely move. It was more funny than sexy and my DH definitely had to do all the work! He was just happy to be finally getting some!

All I can do is offer sympathy! I so did not have that mythical pregnant lady sex drive. I was so sick the first tri, followed by just feeling unsexy and uninterested. Our sex life just kinda slowed down...until the last two weeks, when I demanded it just to get the baby out!

This is going to be a TMI post if you can't tell from the title.
How did it go for you? My sex drive has bottomed out. When I do feel up to it, DH has to be super gentle otherwise I hurt pretty badly (23 weeks pregnant) all over. Normally "gentle" isn't usually my cup of tea if you get what I mean.

I've never had a high sex drive, but I'm really missing my pre pregnancy sexy days. Now DTD seems like so much work and not fun at all!! I was hoping my pregnancy hormones would give me a boost..guess not!

Any tips?
