@chanzi: Mine holds up my pants really well folded over. I'm not sure how far along you are, but you worn it unfolded over your belly (assuming you don't need to hold your pants up, like with a dress)? I was impressed with the shape it gave me while still being comfortable. DEFINITELY better than a hair tie!

I have the BeBand, Target's version of the Bella Band, also! They're both from Ingrid & Isabella but not the same product. I wear it folded over on my hips so it doesn't really go over my belly much. I don't think it would be enough to hide or hold up my unbuttoned (and unzipped!) pants if it wasn't doubled over, and it definitely doesn't shape my belly with the way I wear it underneath. It works better with some of my pants than others but it's pretty comfortable. Definitely more-so than a hair elastic, and even comparable to my maternity jeans.

@kjpugs: That's what I thought too, but the chart on the back said it fits 14-16. I am more like a 16 right now, too, and it fits me just fine! Helped me look like I have more of a bump and not a beer gut yesterday under a dress, and today I folded it over to hold up my pre-preg pants, and HELLO COMFY. I'm sure it will get snug as the belly gets bigger but it has a lot of stretch.

@daniellemybelle: what size do you usually wear again? As a 14/16 (more like 16 now) I am NERVOUSSSSS.... M/L sounds small, yo!

@kjpugs: Hey, I thought of this thread today! Don't know if you got a belly band yet, but I got the BeMaternity band at Target (M/L) and I LOVE IT. I am in love with it. I want to marry it.

@rattles: same! i hated them and preferred to wear tight tank tops in the early months then full panel maternity pants later on.

Agreed on maternity pants. My Bella Bands always seemed to roll down or need adjusting, and my pants never worked right with them.

I couldn't stand it while I had morning sickness, and by the time it passed it was time for maternity pants anyway. Try one out if it's simple for you to return it if you don't like it!

It is too tight now at 31 weeks, but I loved my Bella Band for the 1st/2nd trimester! Let me hold off on maternity pants longer.. but once I bought maternity pants I felt soo dumb for going so long without them - they are heavenly!

@kjpugs: I got the Ingrid & Isabel Bella Bands from a local boutique. I had tried the Motherhood Maternity and Target brand versions and didn't like them much in comparison to the Bella Band. The fabric clinged and pilled over time with the off brand versions.

@kjpugs: I got mine at Target - but to be honest, I didn't really wear it until I was 5 months or so! I was sick my entire pregnancy, incredibly so at the beginning, so I couldn't stand the pressure on my belly. But, I will say I loooved it post partum when my maternity jeans didn't fit properly but I still couldn't close my pre-pregnancy jeans.

Thanks @rahlyrah: and @pelikila: ! Did you get them at Target? I think those were the ones I saw there today? How was sizing? I think they were XS/S or M/L, which makes me a tad nervous (I'm a L/XL usually.)

I love my Bella Bands. I'm 28 weeks and can still use them to fit in most of my pre-preg pants. I also used them to smooth me out when I was in that weird in-between stage. Worth every penny!

Anyone use them and like them? Any specific brands you like? I have a long torso and worry about that.

Also, part of the reason I want to try one (so selfish) is that I am not loving my belly shape! I have a really deep belly button and it seems like my belly looks like a B from the side now at nearly 14 weeks. I'd love something to smooth it out a bit. Would these not go high enough? Maybe I should just get a more form-fitting tank than the looser ones I wear?

Suggestions welcome! And link me if this was addressed previously :)
