We had a check up in early March and at that point the right tube was still in place. By the end of March the tube was out and the ear was ALREADY infected. The left tube fell out last year and we dealt with a nasty ongoing infection in that one at the beginning of the year. I was surprised to learn she had one (I guess two) when we went to the doctor for a persistent cold. She had no other symptoms. I have a friend whose daughter would routinely have an ear infection at every well visit, but zero symptoms.
