We don't really pay attention to a set limit TBH. She just knows that when we say it's time to put it away, she needs to put it away. If she tantrums over it, we simply pull back. It's been working so far. Some days she gets none, others she gets an hour or two throughout the day. She really only uses it to watch songs on YouTube. We don't allow it to be used outside the house except on long trips as a last resort.

My son's kindle doesn't have you tube, because of that, he is hardly interested in it any longer, which is fine by me!

Try to set rules in place. Tablet time is something you earn. If you can't follow the rules, then you can't play with the tablet.

Tablet for us is a "in times of desperation" thing, never at home and only when we go out and are somewhere where we need her to be occupied. We did it at home a couple of times and it turns her into a sobbing irrational crazy person!

She only gets it once or twice a week for 20 minutes or so, if that. We pushed that last weekend because we were reorganizing furniture upstairs in prep for LO2, so we needed her occupied and immobile for a while :)

30 mins or so

The kids use their tablets when we get home and while I make dinner and put stuff away. Once dinner is on the table the tablet is off for the rest of the night - unless its a weekend then I let them use it again after dinner if they want

Well... We don't own a tablet! Lol she does ask to play games on my phone but I just don't allow her to unless we are out a restaurant or somewhere. Maybe you can put the tablet up and only get it out when you absolutely need it. After a few days she will forget about it.

Some tablets have the ability to shut off after a set time so you wouldn't have to have the battle, it would just go off, so sad  Might be a good option for you? For us the tablet is for desperate times because it turns DS into an unpleasant little dude. He does fine with shows on TV and games on my phone though. Weird, right?

We have just said no shows on the tablet. She can watch shows if we are in the car or on normal tv but the tablet is for games.

We are dealing with a child who wants to be on her tablet non-stop. Watching Netflix, playing games, ect. We normally say 30 minutes a day, she can watch it while i'm making dinner. But she's been really pushing it lately. I don't mind when she plays games (educational) but I hate some of the shows she finds on there. How long do you allow your child to play on the tablet a day?
