The search function was terrible. I feel like the free job boards I used in my field had better search capabilities. I found indeed.com to be very helpful, and that's actually how I found where I work now. Also, if you're switching industries, recruiters for specific industries can be useful - if you're in/near a big city, there are recruiters specializing in everything from HR/accounting/administrative assistants to very specialized technical positions. Also check local classifieds. I had interviews at places I found on craigslist too. But LinkedIn honestly was the most helpful. Even without a wide network, you can set up some useful searches and alerts.</p> <p>Oh, and glassdoor!
