@MrsF: thanks. Maybe I'm being crazy.. I'm just unsure if LO was actually cold or if it's random. I also read that when boys pee themselves they can get a chill. The woman looked so alarmed from it, so it has been on my mind.

Both of my kids lips sometimes quiver before they start crying or definitely if they're cold (they are no 1yo and 3yo). It never occurred to me that it might not be normal!

@Reese: yeah I wouldn't even have like registered it at all but my MIL saw it and freaked out so I asked the doctor just so I could tell her it didn't mean anything!

@Rockies11: thank you!! I brought it up at his 2 or 3 month appt and my Ped was like Pffft - totally normal. I never brought it up again and forgot about it. It wasn't until someone else was holding him when we arrived (so I could unload my car) they asked "his lip is quivering! Is that normal!?" So it got me paranoid 😕

Mine! She had lots of quivering when she was a newborn and now at 8 months she quivers when she's cold or upset. We asked the doctor about it and she said that our little one is just a quiverer. She's very through so I stopped worrying about it!

LO is 5 months old. When he was a newborn he had an occasional lip quiver which I was told was normal for newborns. It went away (I think? Or I stopped noticing) and seems to be back/ still having it. It happened twice when he woke up today from his car seat and brought in from the cold (but a few minutes afterward)and then again when he was crying for food. I feel like at 5mos it should be gone by now. Any experience? Should I be concerned? His next ped appt is in January. I'm not sure if it's worrisome enough to make another appointment or I'm just being a paranoid FTM. Thanks, Bees!

ETA: wrong board - not sure how to change that.
