Is she leaking up the back or out the sides? My LO would constantly leak out the sides if I didn't arrange the garters *just so*. Also, anytime she was in the carseat and pooped, we would have a leak. I don't think it was the diaper's fault really.

If it's up the back, I'm surprised that Huggies aren't working for you. Do you get the waistband really tight?

Leaks were part of the reason we switched to cloth, and we honestly haven't had a leak since. We were having regular daytime poop leaks and nighttime pee leaks. We were changing jammies in the middle of night, every night. It was out of control. DD still has runny poops multiple times a day and it's always stayed contained with our flips and bumgenius.

But if cloth isn't on the table for you, as others have said, you could try a thirsties or flip cover over a disposable to keep it contained.

Our LO does a great job in Luvs. They're made by Pampers, but no wetness indicator.

I second @scg00387's suggestion to try putting a cloth diaper cover over the disposable. We cloth diaper, but we use disposables when we go out of town. During the blowout phase, we would put a Thirsties cover over the disposable to catch the blowout. You'll have to wash the cover, but it's easier than having to deal with poop in your car seat or crib or carpet.

How old is she? I honestly don't think there's a miracle diaper that will fix it. I think this was especially bad for us around 4-5 months. After that, it happened way less often, especially once we intro'd solids.

I don't really have any advice, but just wanted to say that you are not alone! We have been dealing with this, too! It has gotten to the point where I don't want to go out some mornings because she hasn't pooped yet. I know, inevitably, as soon as she gets in her carseat she will have a blowout and I'll have a big mess to clean up when we get to where we're going :( I will say my LO is 7 months and it's happening less than it did in the past (hope I didn't just jinx myself).

we went through a period of time where LO blew out 2-3 dipes a day! it was super frustrating.... it seemed to just be a growing thing - he still blows out maybe 1 every other day, or every 2 days, but I think it's just those super runny BM poops that tend to run right up the back - especially while they're always laying on their back.

We've had good luck with baby naturecare by naty off amazon... But you could always try a cloth diaper cover over disposable? We use a grovia Velcro one at night because he wiggles so much and leaks. It's an extra step but better than changing and washing a whole outfit!

Haha! We have the same problem. My LO still blows out about once a week even after starting solids. I find that pampers baby dry are the best for us. Luvs were okay, but we still had blowouts. It's a never ending battle.

I cannot wrap my head around why my DD blows out diapers like it's her job!

We have used Swaddlers, Huggies, and DH bought some random CVS diapers (he didn't truly realize what we're up against)...Successfully obliterated all of those.

We just got in Honest Diapers trial pack and so far those have done well, but I would live to have a diaper that she doesn't blow out and I can get on Amazon or at the store. However I will say that Honest dipes seem to be cut better/fit better....I guess it's like clothes- the more you spend, the better they're cut!

She blows them out even when we go up a size. Currently she's in Size 2s and she weighs about 14 lbs...

Any other suggestions? I think I'm going to try Luvs next? Anyone use them?
