Little Rock will be both very conservative politically (It’s in the Bible Belt) and it will lack shopping opportunities when compared to NYC. You’ll have access to most typical chain shopping and a lot less traffic. Memphis, NWA and OKC have a few more options and they aren’t that far away. My biggest concern would be a culture shock - we are pretty liberal people and I am wondering if that is the norm there as well? It’s probably not as multicultural as NYC. Places to check out would be Benton/Bryant, Maumelle, Chenal, and Sherwood. My DH and I live in a suburb of NYC but he has the potential for a great job opportunity in Little Rock. That seems like a whole different world to me, so I was wondering if there were any Little Rock (or AR bees at all) that could give insight into what it’s like, best suburbs, etc. </p>
