We used to have her hold my tooth brush and brush my teeth while I brushed hers. It took a while but letting her jam it around in my mouth distracted her enough that I could do hers. I can't remember exactly when we started doing that. Usually that means she chews on the toothbrush and eats the toothpaste, but once I'm done brushing my teeth, she'll let me do hers after I rinse the brush. We also let him do the brushing first, and then we follow behind as quickly as possible. He thinks it's really cool. He clenches his mouth closed and turns his face. How do we get a 1 year old to let us into his mouth?! When we first started 2 or 3 months ago, we would hold our own toothbrush to our mouths as an example, and he would let us brush for a few seconds. Then after a few weeks, the struggle began. Did anything work for you? </p>
