DD has gone through phases where she strongly prefers one parent over the other. When she was little, it was me; since about one year old it's been mostly DH.

Since your LO is so young, I think it's ok to just go with the flow for now. Most likely, her preference will switch back and forth multiple times as she grows up. :)

My girls both had extreme (and I mean, Extreme!) mommy preference, especially during the first year. All I can say is, I'm with you and know how frustrating it can be. It's tough on both parents. But I will say that it comes and goes in waves, so hope you get some reprieve soon. Know though that I think this is pretty common and you're not alone!

We had this issue, but only during bedtime. She would not let him put her to sleep, and I get severe migraines often so there are times when I just can't do it.

We started doing a family bedtime. We would all be there for everything, but I would give her a bottle while dh sat there with us. Eventually we tried letting him give the bottle, and I would still stay there with them. If she got upset I would take her. It got to the point that not only could dh give her the bottle, but I could leave the room and she was fine. Now we switch on and off every night putting her to bed to she stays used to both of us.

Good luck!

My LO is 2 months and has gotten to the point where she is entirely dependent on me for sleep and for soothing. If she is crying, I am the only one who can soothe her. And forget anyone else trying to put her down for a nap or sleep!!

Yesterday, I left LO with DH so I could go tanning. I was only gone for 40 minutes and she screamed from the moment I put her into DHs arms until the moment I came home. If someone else is holding her (like grandma) and I am in the room, she will scream and scream until she is handed off to me.

Has anyone else struggled with this? Is there anything I can do? This is pretty exhausting and I know DH is sad because he feels like he can't help me at all.
