Can it be simultaneous teething? My son got a cold and got over it but he still wouldn't eat and hardly drank and I was freaking out but it turned out on top of it he was teething and I had no idea! He cut two teeth at the same time in different areas of the mouth and I was shocked on day when I realized he sprouted 2 more teeth overnight. Once that passed he ate like a champ.

She will make up her calories and nutrients from formula. Just wait and see, don't push her at all (that can prolong the food avoidance). Offer lots of stuff that she likes but let her explore and get back into solids at her own pace.

The same thing happened to DS - he had a double ear infection and a bad virus that landed us in the hospital. He barely ate anything for a few weeks, but gradually got his appetite back. As long as she is drinking it's ok. Just keep offering solids.

I wouldn't stress - mine did that all the time after an illness or upset, and kept on track growth and weight wise. She had a period at 10 months where she refused solids for 6 weeks. I kept offering, but otherwise just bfed. She didn't lose any weight or anything, and seemed happy!

I'm really trying not to stress, but since it is lasting so long, I'm starting get worried. She's been off the antibiotics for about a week, and she still wants nothing to do with food.

I'm worried that if she doesn't get the nutrients/vitamins other food, she'll get sick again.

It is really hard not to stress, I won't lie. One of the biggest clues that my son is getting sick is that his appetite suffers. Then it takes him a while to ramp back up again.

Agree with PP and I wouldn't stress at all. My two year old just got over an illness during which he only ate one pouch in three days and wouldn't have anything else. He was drinking water around the clock and that's all he wanted. Then he woke up the next morning and said "milk! Berries! Toast!" And was back to his old self. I was definitely stressed about it but he did fine.

I'd wait it out. I think illnesses can make littles feel crappy for a good while even after they are acting better. Keep offering but don't stress.

Just keep offering but don't stress about it. It's pretty common for them to back off for a while after illness, even as toddlers.

My almost 9 month old had an ear infection and bronchiolitis a couple weeks ago. She has been better for a little over a week now, and she still doesn't want to eat any of her solid food. She will not let me go near her with a spoon. Even when I give her finger foods, she won't eat it. I know they say food before 1 is for fun, but she used to be such a good eater, and now she won't take anything but her formula. Any advice on what to do?
