She just played with it for a long time. Maybe at 8 months she finally figured it out, and then she started drinking a good bit. Maybe a cup a day? </p> <p>We also taught a sign for 'water' early on. It's hugely useful, because she'll make the sign all the time when I'd not have thought to give her water. My guy hasn't figured out how to tip up the sippie cup yet, so I have to hold it up for him. I'd like to see what he can do with the straw-sippie. </p> <p>I voted sippie and cup, as currently we are giving him water in both of these forms, but not a lot of water. I just really wanted to figure out if there was some other way he could drink since he was a bottle-rejecter, so that's when I started giving the sippie cups of water. </p> <p>He's 7 months old.
