My daughter dropped her nap at 3 but still gets pretty worn out. She has been sleeping poorly since the time change, too (waking up early, waking up once or twice during the night). She's 3.5 now and we try to get her to nap once or twice a week with a well timed car ride or stroller walk. We also put her to bed super early (like 6:00) one or two nights a week. Her typical pattern is to sleep 7-6:00 but she's definitely happier when she gets into a groove of 7-7 so I try to make up that extra hour a couple times a week.

@Bao: I feel you! Maybe not in such drastic amounts, but my 2.5 year old also suddenly dropped his 1.5 hour nap and started sleeping 0.5-1 hour less overnight. So he gets about 2-2.5 hours less per 24 hours!! He seems a little tired or runs out of steam by late afternoon, but other than that he is ok...... I've tried to get him to nap but he won't anymore, unless we're in the car and of course he always passes out then.

My LO is 2.5 and over the last month she dropped her nap. She was napping about 1.5 hours, maybe a little longer. Also, with the time change she dropped another 1.5-2 hours off her night sleep, by waking up earlier. This is taking into consideration the time change too, so her past wake up time of 9am is now 6:15am. I feel like that is a huge change in sleep needs....has anyone dealt with this with their LO? Is it maybe just a drastic change of sleep needs?
