We're having this issue lately with our 3yo! Maybe I need to try an earlier bedtime... Hmmm...

Every. Single. Night.

8:30 hits, which is supposed to be bedtime and a second wind comes and she's spinning in circles and chasing the dog. It is so out of control and I have nothing but commissary.

@Bao: I think she's getting overtired and that's why she gets so wound up. Plus he likes to roughhouse with her right before bed and it's making me see red. Obviously, our parenting styles differ lol.

Yes, it happens all the time. I've started putting her to bed earlier when my husband is gone and we don't have all the shenanigans like normal.

Ugh we have been dealing with this lately. She gets so wound up and jumps on the bed and won't calm down. So annoying. I always feel like it's too late and maybe she needs to go to bed earlier.

Does anyone have a LO who instead of starts winding down during the bedtime routine, gets their second wind?

We battle this every night, we try and keep the routine consistent but without fail they both get wound up. It's usually after 8pm when this happens so it's not like it's too early. This is even after a full day outside. I'm stumped! Any advice?
