My son did this when we moved- he was also 13 months and seemed terrified of his new tub. What finally calmed him down was playing music. I don't know if it was a distraction, or just calming but it really worked for us. We moved again when he was 19 months (I know!) and he adjusted much better to that new bath, maybe he understood things better.

Are you bathing her with your older LO? That might make it more fun and less upsetting. Other options we've tried when LO is resisting baths is to get in with her ourselves, or just bring her in the shower. My 3 year old now prefers showers to baths.

My 13-month-old absolutely hates bathtime. Ever since we transitioned her to a regular bathtub from the baby tub months ago she refuses to sit down, holds on to the edge of the tub and screams her head off. Initially we thought this was because we bathe her before bed and she's exhausted but she's happy as soon as we take out of the tub. My older child always loved the bath so I'm at a total loss of what to do. Any ideas on how to make bathtime a less painful process?
