I think it's all part of learning at this age and gentle exposure is great. Remember she will grow and change so keep setting her in the grass etc

My lo also doesn't like to be dirty. For the longest time we could keep her still by putting her on a blanket surrounded by grass because we knew she wouldn't touch the grass. But she grew out of that phase, especially when she started walking. Now she just doesn't like it on her hands. If she falls and gets it on her hands shell come up to me and show me so I can get it off.

She also used to scream when we tried fingerpainting.... But I attempted it again for an anniversary gift for my in laws and she loved it. She kept saying "more, more."

My son used to hate having messy hands and hated touching wet things too! For a while, he wouldn't walk barefoot on sand or grass. He's outgrown all of that now. He's still a very neat eater (doesn't make a ton of mess and is constantly wiping his face). But at least now, he'll walk on grass and sand and doesn't mind wet/messy things on his hands (he's almost 3).

LO is 8 months and I recently discovered that she hates touching grass. When we put her on it, she makes a disgusted face and tries really hard to not put her hand down. It's kinda hilarious, but sad. She also won't touch wet things. Like when I've tried to get her to feed herself pieces of apple or banana she won't touch them. But she'll feed herself Puffs. And tonight I put a wet papertowel on her high chair tray and she cried and wouldn't touch it.

Does anyone else's LO do this? I'm hoping it doesn't mean she has any big sensory issues.
