We got a convertible seat when he was 3 months and it was like magic! He doesn't mind the car at all anymore. My DD hated the car seat for a while but showed remarkable improvement when we removed the newborn insert at 11 pounds and again later when we removed the head support. Lately it's been taking S longer to settle for naps in the car and this afternoon she screamed for over an hour whilst I tried to ignore her and get us home in horrible dark, stormy weather :( I pulled over after half an hour to see if there was anything wrong, as she usually settles before that, but she seemed otherwise ok. </p> <p>I feel like a lousy Mum for continuing to let her cry--but I don't know what else to do sometimes! Will this continue to get worse or will she eventually accept the car seat? </p>
