E has started sleeping on his tummy. If I try to flip him back onto his back he either wakes up crying and turns right back onto his tummy or does it without waking up. I check on him from time to time to make sure his nose and mouth are clear of the mattress, but otherwise leave him be. He sleeps longer and better on his stomach.

I started leaving LO on her stomach once she was in her room and we sleep trained her (started at 5.5 months). She seems to sleep better on her stomach and I figure if she can get there on her own, she's fine.

@littlek: We don't have a lot of drool right now, but definitely have pink cheeks. He was sleeping better a couple of days ago, then last night there were 4 wakeups in 4 hours. We did the normal needs assessment too and nothing! I checked his gums when we put him on the bed this morning. I saw some bumps on his gums that looked new. He's getting a baby Tylenol dose at 1am if this continues tonight.

ETA: He's breastfed and has been super needy with the boobs lately. My husband kept on pushing feedings, but I kept on saying that the wakeups were something else. When I fed him yesterday, he sucked so hard it hurt like clamped down, so that's where I'm coming up with the teething.

@cascademom: Ugh, teething.. LO STTN except the rare occasion he wakes up with teething pain.. but you can tell it's coming because of bottle strike, pink cheeks and all the drool...

Leave. Once we ditched the swaddle and RNP, he rolls happily in his crib onto his tummy. We've found him with his hand/arm on the crib side closest to the wall. Sometimes, it wakes him up. Other times, we've found him rolled towards the front of his crib with his hand sticking out of the crib.

We were strongly urged by our daycare to unswaddle him and let him roll because he sleeps that way there. Once we did, our sleep has improved minus last night, stupid teething.

lol! leave him! When LMW started FINALLY sleeping on her belly she started STTN! She still has a hard time rolling (she is really big and heavy!) so some nights we put her down on her back and she wakes 30 mins later really pissed that she can't get onto her belly. If she can't make it onto her belly by 5 minutes, we go in and roll her and she falls right to sleep immediately!

lol! I say leave him. If he can get there on his own it's cool. Prettybaby is all over the place these days. Most mornings I find her scrunched up at the bottom of her crib under her aquarium staring at her fishies.

I think he rolls on his tummy and then crawls around till he falls asleep because he is nowhere near where I leave him when I put him to bed. I woke up this morning to him staring straight into the baby monitor "morning mom!"
