@lady grey: I understand, my coworker lost her son to SIDS 2 weeks before I was due with LO1, it sticks with you and I was a nervous wreck those first few weeks because I was so scared.

I would worry more about stuffed animals with glued on eyes...and I don't really even worry about those at that age. I think it's totally fine :)

I wouldn't worry, I think it is highly unlikely he could get finger off a doll, my LO cuddles with 3 plastic dolls at night, it has never even crossed my mind.

I don't even think my strong grown up teeth could chew off a baby doll finger, let alone a small toddler!

Does your toddler sleep with a plastic baby doll? My 19 mo LO suddenly wants to sleep with all his favorite stuffed animals including a baby doll that has plastic arms and legs.

The stuffies are fine, but the doll worries me as my LO is still pretty "mouthie" and I am concerned there is chance he would chew off a plastic baby finger or something and choke.

Am I worrying too much? Should I continue to only let him sleep with stuffed animals and not the baby?

ETA: I messed up a poll and tried to delete it but I don't think that worked so just ignore the poll.
